Elder cardiac diseases: new hypothesis for old topics (call for paper)

Cardiac diseases represent the main causes of death and morbidity in the elder population. Aging per se affects metabolic and tissue systems, increasing the probability to suffer of such conditions.

We invite investigators to contribute with original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand clinical aspects and the molecular interplay underlying the relationship between aging and cardiovascular diseases, and how this relationship can influence therapeutic response.

Potential topics include, but not limited to:

  • Aging and cardiac structural changes
  • Aging and hormone influences in cardiac patients
  • Aging, comorbidity and cardiac diseases
  • Therapy Response Variability in elder cardiac patients

Before submission, authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines.

Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System  according to the following timetable:

Manuscript Due                   31th October 2017

First Round of Reviews      20th November 2017
